Festival Saint Denis, May 27-June 27

This annual festival celebrates the beauty of classical music with four weeks of live concerts in and around Paris. The fest will feature performances of classics by Bach, Vivaldi, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Mozart, Haydn and Schoenberg. Fête du Vélo, May 31-June 1

Join Parisians in a city-wide picnic and bike-riding adventure at the Fête du Vélo, also known as the Bicycle Festival. Simply head out of your classic French hotel, rent a Vélib’ bicycle from the Paris public bike share system, and head to the center of the city for a celebration. Paris Jazz Festival, June 8-July 27

For nearly two months, you can enjoy weekly free jazz concerts thanks to the annual Paris Jazz Festival. Concerts will take place at the Parc Floral de Paris, which can be accessed by the city’s public transportation system, on every Saturday and Sunday in June and July. Midsummer Fireworks, June 24

Ring in the summer weather with the city’s annual Midsummer Fireworks. The fireworks will be set off from the Ile Saint Louis, but can be seen throughout the city. Popular watching spots include the Quai Saint Bernard, along the Seine River and Sacre-Coeur. You can even sit on the terrace at our classic French hotel and watch!

Fête de la Musique, June 21

Also called World Music Day, the Fête de la Musique celebrates music of all kinds. Taking place on the longest day of the year, visitors can take in live concerts throughout the city from dawn until dusk. Superheroes: The Art of Alex Ross, through June 15

If you’re into comic books, then you absolutely must stop by the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art & Culture. On exhibit through June 15th is one-of-a-kind work by Alex Ross, famous illustrator for comics like Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman. Paris 14/18, la Guerre au Quotidien, through June 15

Consider yourself a history buff? Then this is the event for you. Hosted at the Galerie des Bibliothèques de la Ville, this awe-inspiring exhibit features never-before-seen photos and images of Paris and its citizens during World War I. We Love Green Festival, May 31-June 1

This popular music festival is back after a two year hiatus. The 2014 fest will include performances by Lorde, Cat Power, Little Dragon and London Grammar and more. Pixar in Concert, June 22, July 11 & 12

If you love Pixar movies, then you’re in for a special treat this summer. Spring Rummage Sale, May 22-25

Another great outdoor festival and fair is the Fête de Montmartre. Located at the Renoir Gardens at the Musée Montmartre, this event features performances by period actors, including short scenes, live music and more.
